Hyuna wanted to block out Daehyun’s words, shoo them away as if this entire argument was a bad dream, but instead, she turned on her heel and stepped towards Daehyun, gritting her teeth while crossing her arms, restraining them.

“If I knew what, Daehyun? What the helldo you want me to say? Do you want me to admit it? Is that it?” the words spit out of her like venom as she freed one of her hands to run her fingers through her hair in frustration.

“Fine.” she uncrossed her arms as she moved towards Daehyun, reaching up to tap one of his shoulders angrily as the tears stung her eyes, the next few words laced with acid.“Baby, I’m so, dreadfully, awfully, terribly sorry for thinking you when obviously, that’s not the answer since well… you just proved it to me! Ha!” Hyuna’s laughter was breathless and hollow.

Soon, the silence grew between them, their breaths becoming slow and steady.

“I can’t keep up with you Daehyun. I-I’m tired.” Hyuna broke the silence, her arms crossed again.

“I’m tired of waiting for someone to come around because I’ve been doing that my entire life!” bitter tears stung her eyes again. “I waited for my parents to come home from a foreign country every month only to watch them go off again. I waited for Yukwon to come back but he never did. I’m sick and tired of waiting. I’m done.” she threw her hands up in the air as she took a step back away from Daehyun.

“So save your bullshit about ‘the right time.’ There’s no such thing."
